Can Am Maverick R Doors

Designed and prototyped a new metal door for the Can Am Maverick X3 and R. The doors that come with the car are all plastic, so we designed a new all metal door with a steel tube frame and aluminum skins inside and outside. The doors feature handles on both sides and robust and adjustable hinges and latches, and they are easy to install and remove.

Side-by-Side Parts Design

Designed a series of machined and fabricated products for Can Am and Polaris Side-by-Side vehicles. Some images are of prototype parts, and some are of finished products.

Machine Design

Designed a machine to wrap a bundle of hoses and cables with a nylon tape. The machine is controlled by a microcontroller and a simple interface with some switches that control a series of stepper motors that move the tape and pull the bundle through the machine. The machine is designed primarily from 3D printed parts, with some large bearings to allow the tape to be passed around the bundle. The base of the machine is a simple welded frame with racks to hold the spools of tubing and cable for the bundle.
